The Floral Midi Skirt

Have you ever walked by a window and came across the most perfect piece? Well, that’s what happened when I saw this floral midi skirt on a mannequin.

THE LOOK | white bow top, floral midi skirt (on sale here!!!), heels, suede hobo bag, celine sunglasses

Yesterday was seriously the Monday-est Monday EVER. I was in a meeting pretty much from 10-6, so I didn’t get a chance to thoroughly check my work email. And by the time the meeting was over, I was mentally checked out. UGH! What a way to kick off the week, huh? Luckily, I’m going on vacation next week, so only a few more days!!!

Anyway….we were in the middle of talking about when a mannequin looks TOO good, you can’t resist the pieces of the look.

I was walking from the subway after work and passed this beautiful floral midi skirt in the window. I kept walking because I definitely did not need another skirt. Then a few days passed, and I realized I really wanted the skirt. So here we are.

My favorite part of this floral midi skirt is the mesh inset. It makes it so fun and not the typical “florals for spring are groundbreaking” skirt. But, let’s be clear, I’m ALL about those kind of florals (as seen in these posts: here, here and here). I wore it to work yesterday and received SO many compliments…so I know it must have been a good choice.

It’s currently on sale (woo!), and sizing are running out quickly, so I suggest you get it before it’s too late! Also, a little style tip: It runs LARGE. I can be anywhere from a 2 to a 4, but the 0 actually fit me well. That’s vanity sizing for ya (but hey, I’m not complaining).

I wore this floral midi skirt with this little bow top that I picked up the same day and it is SO cute. Seriously, you cannot go wrong with a little bow detail. Like ever. I also plan on wearing it with a sleeveless cropped sweater…because I think it’ll be cute!

ALSO…let’s talk about this adorable location on the Upper East Side. When Allie and I walked by, we immediately thought about our time in Notting Hill (#memories). It always makes me happy when a gem of a location is found – mostly because I get some great content;)
