There’s one thing in my wardrobe that is constant year after year. And that is the cashmere sweater. (Or cashmere anything.)
My love of cashmere definitely stemmed from my dad’s love of cashmere. My dad is a big sweater guy, and I always love when he wears his Brooks Brothers cashmere crewnecks. I’d be lying if I told you I don’t steal them from his closet from time to time. Thanks, Dad!
I think my first cashmere sweater was a hot pink J.Crew cashmere sweater that was on major sale….in the middle of July. But I sure did love it. And since then, I’ve been investing in different cashmere sweaters each season. Some of my favorites are from Nordstrom, J.Crew, and most recently, Club Monaco.
The Best of Cashmere Sweaters (According to Me)
I got this cashmere sweater during the Nordstrom sale and I have to say the quality isn’t terrible for it being one of the less expensive cashmere sweaters I own. It isn’t a super heavy gauge, so it’s not going to keep you super warm…but in all fairness, it’s still cashmere, so it’ll definitely keep you a bit toasty. The bright side? You’ll be able to wear it earlier than most of your other sweaters;) Oh, and it’s under $100!
CASHMERE SWEATER STEALS:
I really don’t think you could go wrong with J.Crew’s cashmere sweaters. Their selection is always on point. They have crew necks, v-necks, cardigans, t-shirts, and everything in between…and in a ton of different colors. J.Crew cashmere usually starts at $148, which actually isn’t a bad price because their quality is amazing. I personally love the more oversized cashmere, so if it’s not their boyfriend style, I’ll size up.
CASHMERE SWEATERS AROUND $200:
I recently picked up this cashmere sweater from Club Monaco and I could NOT be more in love. I know as a fashion blogger I say that a lot, but I really do mean it this time. I take a lot of pride in investing in pieces that will be in my closet for years, and this piece really is just that. This is one of my more pricier purchases for a sweater, and I was actually thinking about returning it once I got home…but I’ve already wore it enough times to justify the price tag.
CASHMERE SWEATERS TO INVEST IN:
Now if you’re not totally sold on investing in a cashmere sweater just yet, that’s okay too! There are some great wool and cashmere options out there, and I picked a few of my favorites – check them out below!
And finally…there’s still cashmere accessories. Hats, gloves, scarves, wraps, YOU NAME IT…I WANT IT. These accessories would make really great gifts or stocking stuffers for friends and family – I know I’d LOVE to be gifted any one of these items;)
